Share The Word – ep.3 Kathmandu
Hindu Temple
On the Northern edge of Bainsghat stands a tall, 250-year old Hindu temple. It took us 5 days to paint entrance with the symbols of the sun and the moon, as requested by the local priest.
Sharing the Word Jaimashi
“Jaimashi” is a form of greating used by the Christian community. It is painted on the edge of the slum, facing the sacred river of Bagmati, which is now buried under a massive rubbish tip.
Dhanybhad
Dhanybhad means”thank you” in Nepali. It was share by the children of the slum.

Live from the slum of Bainsighat, Kathmandu. Sagarmatha is the Nepali word for Mount Everest.
