“Family”
Beriha et Abrehet, two sisters from Lideta, chose to share the word ” Beiteseb ” (Family).
“Harmony”
Tsion chose the word Harmony. This is also a word we’ve also been asked to pain in Indonesia and Kenya.
“Abyssinia”

Tribute
The 2 sons living in this house wanted us to paint the name of their mother on the front of their house. “Wassen” died 10 years ago at the age of 42.
Warm Days
“Unity”
We are often asked to paint this word, and I think it sums up the slums pretty well. Thank you to the people of Lideta for having chosen “unity”!
“Mercy”
“Mercy” was the word that Hermes (15 years old) wanted us to paint on his house, in the slum of Lideta, Addis Ababa.
“Ethiopia”
Sissay chose the word “Ethiopia” written in the local Amharic scrpit. It’s always a good challenge to paint in new scrpits !

This is the slum we have chosen to work in for our Share The Word Project in Ethiopia. The neighbourhood is situated in the West of Addis Ababa.
