Zeinab in one of the few residents of Balata Refugee Camp who remembers not being a refugee. Most people in Balata are originally from Yaffa and other villages on the Mediterranean coast which are now part of Israel. 70 years ago, when Israel was founded, many arabs left their villages to go to the West Bank and Gaza. They are still considered as refugees to this day, and they are still waiting to return home, many of them having kept the keys to their front doors. However, home is a place which only the old folk who still have a good memory remember. And that number is starting to decrease rapidly. .
